Follett Library Software

Specific Site Issues

Summary

Follett library software requires a connection to their servers to get certain data.  This requires holes to be made in the firewall to allow access.

Applies To

SecureSchool, ISBossBox, LibraryDoor, Follett software

More Information

To allow Follett software to traverse through the firewall, you need to create a rule allowing traffic to the Follett subnet.  Go to "Firewall" -> "Protocol Rules" -> "Add a Rule".  Complete the form with the following information:

  • Rule Name: "Follett Corporation"
  • Log Packets: None
  • Type: Allow
  • Protocol: TCP
  • Direction: From Inside
  • Source Address: "0.0.0.0/0"
  • Source Port: Leave blank
  • Destination Address: "12.171.92.0/23"
  • Destination Port: Leave blank

Once you add that rule, go to "Commit Changes" and restart, and your Follett software should start to work.
