Summary

The “From” field in an email is easily faked. The actual sender of an email can often be found in the mail header as the “Return-Path" value. If you add this to your block list, it should prevent further spam from this address.

The “From” field in an email is easily faked. The actual sender of an email can often be found in the mail header as the “Return-Path" value. If you add this to your block list, it should prevent further spam from this address.

  1. To start, log in to your WebMailPro account and find the spam message you want to filter. 
  2. Open the spam message.
  3. Click on “Show Header” near the top of the message.
  4. Find the line of the header which reads "Return-Path" (usually at the top) and copy the email address which appears on that line.
  5. Click on "Global Settings" in the menu in the left column.
  6. Click on "Global Mail Rules" on the page.
  7. Under the first section, "Outside Email Addresses", select "Block no incoming email from outside email addresses except the following list" if it's not already selected.
  8. Directly under that line, click on "View/Edit The List".
  9. Paste the email you copied earlier into the text box and click the "Add Address" button.
  10. Click on the "Save Changes" button near the top of the page.




You shouldn't receive any more mail from this address.
